Dr. Amen completed many years of post graduate training with homeopaths world wide and is a Certified Classical Homeopath and Diplomate of the Homeopathic Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dr. Amen defines optimal health as living authentically in the present with our hearts and mind connected while exploring our unique purpose. The foundation of health begins with bringing into our conscious awareness the patterns and habits that keep us from balancing the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of who we are and living life fully. He believes we all have what it takes to make peace with the lives we have been given and work towards that balance.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture is one of the oldest systems of medicine in the world and is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In traditional systems, acupuncture is done more frequently than is practical today with our busy lifestyles. Used in combination with herbs and lifestyle changes, it a highly effective at treating many types of painful conditions from arthritis to sports injuries to menstrual pain. Dr. Amen is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, through the NCCAOM the highest level of certification for a practitioner of Chinese Medicine.

Botanical Medicine

Whether used as a culinary spice or found as a weed in the garden, some of the most potent medicines available to us may be found right in our kitchen or back yard. Dr. Amen is a skilled herbalist using Western and Chinese herbs in a way that synergistically supports the body’s natural healing processes.
